As part of its efforts to strengthen international cooperation and attract strategic investment, the Ministry of Industry and Minerals<\/strong> signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)<\/strong> with Rotary International Ltd. of Hungary<\/strong> on Wednesday, 26 November 2025<\/strong>, in the city of Misrata<\/strong>. The agreement establishes a framework for joint cooperation in implementing infrastructure investment projects.<\/span><\/p>\n

The MoU was signed on behalf of the Ministry by the Deputy Minister for Production Affairs, Industrial Zones, and General Affairs<\/strong>, while Rotary International Ltd.<\/strong> represented the Hungarian side. The agreement reflects the commitment of both parties to strengthening partnership, exchanging expertise, and supporting Libya’s economic development objectives.<\/p>\n

The memorandum provides a framework for cooperation in implementing a number of strategic projects, with particular emphasis on water desalination and purification initiatives<\/strong>, in addition to the development of public services<\/strong>. These projects are expected to enhance infrastructure, promote sustainable development, and improve the quality of essential services provided to citizens.<\/p>\n

The signing of the MoU builds upon a series of meetings and discussions held in recent months between the Ministry of Industry and Minerals<\/strong> and representatives of the Hungarian company. These discussions focused on identifying areas of cooperation and developing implementation mechanisms for priority projects, reflecting both parties’ commitment to establishing a long-term strategic partnership based on knowledge exchange and mutual investment.<\/p>\n

This agreement reaffirms the Ministry’s commitment to expanding cooperation with international partners, fostering an investment-friendly environment, and advancing development projects that strengthen infrastructure, improve essential public services, and support Libya’s sustainable development agenda.<\/p>\n
