Green Industry Center

Center Areas of Expertise

The Green Industry Center supports the transition toward a more sustainable and efficient industrial sector by providing technical studies and consultancy to industrial entities, conducting energy audits and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and optimize consumption, as well as measuring carbon emissions, calculating carbon footprints, and supporting emissions-reduction plans. The Center also promotes the application of cleaner production and circular economy principles, contributes to the development of sustainable energy projects, and builds and develops human capacity through training programs and workshops aligned with recognized international standards, and organizes seminars and awareness events to strengthen a culture of sustainability across the industrial sector.

Green Industrial Transformation Form

The Green Industrial Transformation Program aims to support industrial facilities in adopting more efficient and sustainable practices by optimizing resource use, reducing waste, minimizing waste materials and emissions, and improving environmental compliance across the industrial sector. The program also seeks to build an accurate database of relevant industrial facilities and activities, thereby supporting planning, identifying intervention priorities, and directing technical efforts toward opportunities for environmental and operational improvement. The program represents an important step toward enhancing industrial competitiveness, improving operational efficiency and environmental performance, and advancing sustainable development and the transition toward a more responsible and efficient industrial sector.

Green Industry Center

Strategic Partnerships Supporting Green Industry

The Green Industry Center fulfills its mission by building effective institutional partnerships through cooperation agreements with national entities, the industrial sector, universities, and research and development institutions, ensuring that sustainability objectives are translated into actionable programs. These agreements generally focus on energy efficiency and energy management, emissions measurement and carbon footprint calculation, and applications of cleaner production and the circular economy, as well as the development of sustainable energy projects and the exchange of expertise and technical data. These agreements also typically include capacity building and development through training and workshops aligned with recognized international standards, as well as the coordination of joint initiatives that improve environmental performance, enhance competitiveness, and accelerate the transition toward a green economy and a more sustainable Libyan industry.
