Green Industry Center Signs Cooperation Agreement with the Libyan Iron and Steel Company
As part of its ongoing efforts to promote green industry and environmental sustainability, the Green Industry Center signed a cooperation agreement with the Libyan Iron and Steel Company, reaffirming both institutions’ commitment to advancing the industrial sector through environmentally responsible practices and supporting Libya’s transition toward a green economy.
The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation in several strategic areas, including carbon emissions measurement, carbon footprint assessment, the implementation of sustainable energy projects, and capacity building and human resource development in line with internationally recognized standards. These initiatives aim to enhance environmental performance and optimize the use of energy and natural resources within industrial facilities.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Green Industry Center by its Director General, Dr. Mustafa Al-Aib, and on behalf of the Libyan Iron and Steel Company by its Chairman, Dr. Mohammed Abdulmalik Al-Faqih. The signing reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to strengthening cooperation, exchanging expertise, and supporting the objectives of sustainable industrial development.
This partnership reflects the Green Industry Center’s vision of building strategic alliances with national institutions to accelerate the adoption of sustainable industrial practices.
