Green Industry Center Participates in the First National Forum on Quality Standards in the Iron and Steel Industry
The Green Industry Center participated in the First National Forum on Quality Standards in the Iron and Steel Industry, held on Tuesday, 27 January 2026, at the Al Mahary Hotel in Tripoli under the theme “Towards a Competitive National Product and a Safe Consumer.” The event was organized by the Libyan Al-Raqeeb Organization for Consumer Protection and brought together experts, specialists, and representatives of institutions involved in Libya’s industrial sector.
The forum was convened as part of ongoing efforts to support national industry and strengthen the implementation of quality and safety standards. These efforts aim to enhance the performance of the iron and steel sector, improve its competitiveness in local and international markets, and promote the adoption of best industrial and environmental practices.
The program featured a series of technical sessions addressing the practical and economic foundations of quality in the iron and steel industry, modern quality control technologies, and the administrative, legislative, and sustainability dimensions of the sector. Participants also examined the key challenges facing the industry and discussed future-oriented solutions to support its long-term development.

Participants highlighted the value of adopting advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence applications and modern testing methods, while underscoring the need to integrate environmental sustainability considerations throughout production processes and supply chains.
