The Green Industry Center participated on Wednesday, 10 June 2026, in the workshop titled “Towards a Safe and Environmentally Friendly Paint Industry,” organized by the National Industrial Development Authority in cooperation with the College of Industrial Technology, under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals and sponsored by Al-Ghazala Paints Company.

The Center’s participation forms part of its ongoing efforts to support national efforts toward sustainable industry and promote the adoption of sound environmental practices across the industrial sector. These efforts aim to reduce the environmental impacts of industrial activities and improve production efficiency in line with the principles of the green economy.

The workshop addressed a number of topics related to the development of the paint industry, with particular emphasis on the use of environmentally friendly materials and technologies, reducing industrial pollutants, and reviewing best practices and recent experiences that contribute to improving product safety and the environmental performance of manufacturing facilities.

The workshop also provided an opportunity for experts, specialists, and industry stakeholders to exchange knowledge and expertise and explore the latest developments in environmentally responsible paint manufacturing. Discussions highlighted the importance of promoting a culture of Cleaner Production, fostering innovation in national industries, and raising awareness of the need to integrate environmental considerations into industrial processes.

The participation of the Green Industry Center in this event reaffirms its role in supporting national initiatives aimed at promoting the principles of green industry, encouraging the transition toward more sustainable production technologies, and building effective partnerships that contribute to the development and competitiveness of the industrial sector and the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals in Libya.
