Green Industry Center Participates in Workshop on the Future Vision of Misrata Free Zone and Sustainable Supply Chains

As part of efforts to activate the joint cooperation agreement between the Green Industry Center and Misrata Free Zone, and at the invitation of the Green Ports Committee, the Center participated on Saturday, 20 June 2026, in the specialized workshop titled “A Future Vision for Misrata Free Zone: Supply Chains Between Procedural Practices and Sustainability Challenges.” The workshop was held at Al Marsa Hall, with broad participation from local and international officials, experts, and specialists in logistics and supply chain management.

The workshop was attended by Minister of Transport Eng. Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, Chairman of the Management Committee of Misrata Free Zone Eng. Mohsen Al-Saqoutari, along with a number of executive officials, experts, and international speakers. Participants discussed the future of the logistics sector and the key challenges and opportunities associated with developing supply chains in accordance with the principles of sustainability.

The workshop was organized as part of the efforts of Misrata Free Zone to strengthen its position as an advanced logistics hub by providing a platform for exchanging expertise and showcasing the latest international practices and modern technologies in transportation and logistics services, thereby contributing to improved operational efficiency and sustainable economic growth.

The workshop sessions addressed several topics related to the development of supply chains, sustainability challenges, digital transformation, and future opportunities for advancing logistics services. These discussions aimed to enhance the ability of ports and free zones to adapt to the rapid changes in international trade and transportation and achieve higher levels of operational efficiency and flexibility.

The participation of the Green Industry Center reflects its commitment to supporting national initiatives that promote sustainable solutions, as well as its interest in exploring the latest practices and technologies in logistics and supply chain management.
