As part of the efforts of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals to support the Green Industrial Transformation process and enhance the efficiency of industrial facilities, the committee assigned to conduct field visits to companies and factories carried out a number of field visits on Monday, 11 August 2026, to complete the procedures for obtaining the Green Industrial Transformation Certificate, as well as assess the factories’ fuel requirements and determine the quantities needed for their operations.

The visits included a number of industrial facilities, namely Al-Tanmiya Al-Haditha Company for PVC Manufacturing in the Sawani area, Al-Baraka Company for Brick Manufacturing in the Wadi Al-Rabie area, and Al-Amal Company for Building Materials (Brick) Manufacturing in the Sawani area.

These visits form part of the technical procedures aimed at assessing the extent to which industrial facilities meet the requirements of Green Industrial Transformation, identifying their operational needs, and developing appropriate approaches to improve resource and energy efficiency and enhance industrial performance.

The field visits also contribute to supporting factories and industrial facilities in completing the requirements necessary to obtain the Green Industrial Transformation Certificate, while encouraging the adoption of sustainable and environmentally friendly industrial practices.

These efforts reflect the commitment of the Green Industry Center and relevant stakeholders to continuing fieldwork and direct engagement with industrial entities, thereby contributing to improving the efficiency of the industrial sector, optimizing the use of resources and energy, and supporting Libya’s transition toward a more sustainable, efficient, and environmentally friendly industrial sector.
