As part of its efforts to support the Green Industrial Transformation process in Libya, the Green Industry Center continues to participate in the field assessment program for industrial facilities through the visits conducted by the committee assigned by the Ministry of Industry and Minerals to visit companies and factories.

From 3 to 10 August 2026, the visits covered a number of industrial facilities in Wadi Al-Rabie, Zuwara, and Abu Kammash, with the aim of gaining a better understanding of the nature of their production activities, identifying their operational and technical needs, and assessing the requirements associated with transitioning toward more efficient and sustainable production practices.

The field visits included a number of industrial facilities, including:

• Al-Salwa Company for Food Industries, Water Purification, and Plastic Pellet Manufacturing (Dijla) – Wadi Al-Rabie.
• Libyan Company for Medical and Industrial Gas Manufacturing – Wadi Al-Rabie.
• Al-Najah Company for Insulated Panel Manufacturing – Wadi Al-Rabie.
• Al-Rabie Company for Sponge and Mattress Manufacturing – Wadi Al-Rabie.
• Libya Company for Petrochemical and Petroleum Products Manufacturing – Zuwara.
• Alam Al-Itqan Steel Manufacturing Factory – Zuwara, Abu Kammash.

These visits contribute to providing accurate field data on the conditions and needs of industrial facilities, supporting performance assessments and the identification of opportunities to improve energy and resource efficiency, reduce the environmental impacts of production activities, and enhance the sustainability of industrial operations.

The field visits also represent an important step toward strengthening direct communication between the relevant authorities and industrial facilities, while supporting factories in understanding the requirements and practices of Green Industrial Transformation. This will help them improve their performance and keep pace with modern trends in sustainable industry.

The Green Industry Center reaffirms its continued support for national efforts aimed at developing the industrial sector, improving energy and resource efficiency, enhancing environmental performance, and promoting the adoption of technologies and practices that contribute to building a more efficient and sustainable Libyan industrial sector.
