As part of efforts to support green industrial transformation and promote sustainable practices across various industrial activities, the Green Industry Center participated in the expanded meeting held by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, Mr. Mustafa Al-Sammo, in Misrata, to discuss mechanisms for supporting the bakery sector and ensuring the stability of bread production and prices.

The meeting addressed the adoption of the Green Industrial Transformation Form as part of the industrial licensing requirements for bakeries, supporting the sector’s transition toward practices that contribute to improving energy and resource efficiency and enhancing the environmental performance of facilities.

During the meeting, the Green Industry Center contributed to explaining the registration procedures for the Green Industrial Transformation Form, as well as outlining the related requirements and procedures, helping bakery owners complete the necessary licensing procedures and benefit from the Green Industrial Transformation framework.

The meeting also discussed a number of proposals and measures aimed at supporting the bakery sector, in addition to mechanisms for monitoring and overseeing the implementation of the approved procedures, in coordination among the relevant authorities, bakers’ unions, and the Municipal Guard Agency.

The Center’s participation in the meeting comes as part of its role in supporting the Ministry of Industry and Minerals’ efforts to expand the implementation of the Green Industrial Transformation Program, strengthen communication with various industrial activities and facilities, improve operational efficiency, optimize energy and resource consumption, and promote sustainable industrial practices.

The Green Industry Center reaffirms its continued efforts to support industrial facilities and facilitate their engagement in the green industrial transformation process, thereby enhancing the sustainability of the industrial sector and supporting the transition toward a more efficient and environmentally friendly economy.
