As part of efforts to strengthen cooperation in the fields of green industry, sustainability, and carbon emissions reduction, the Green Industry Center signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The Rob Rockefeller Standard Carbon – Tunisia, establishing a framework for technical and advisory cooperation between the two parties in several areas related to climate action and green industrial transformation.

The MoU was signed on behalf of the Green Industry Center by its Director General, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Al-Taher Al-Aib, and on behalf of The Rob Rockefeller Standard Carbon – Tunisia by its President, Mr. Mohamed Lassad Al-Qadimi.

The Memorandum of Understanding provides for cooperation in the areas of carbon emissions reduction, development of carbon neutrality strategies, and provision of technical expertise and consulting, in addition to developing national personnel in the field of environmental auditing in accordance with international specifications and standards.

The MoU also includes the exchange of proposals and expertise concerning technical solutions and carbon management, as well as the organization of seminars, conferences, and awareness-raising events targeting the industrial sector. These efforts will contribute to increasing awareness of sustainable environmental practices and the requirements for transitioning toward a low-carbon economy.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Jamal Mohamed Al-Jamal, Environment and Sustainability Expert at the Libyan Iron and Steel Company and Member of the Center’s Sustainable Solutions Committee; Dr. Jihan Ben Ramadan, International Expert at Expertise France and Executive Director of The Rob Rockefeller Standard Carbon – Tunisia; and Mr. Karim Al-Nasfi, Director of Training and Events at the company.

This Memorandum of Understanding reflects the Green Industry Center’s commitment to expanding technical and advisory cooperation and developing national capacities, supporting the industrial sector in adopting more sustainable practices, keeping pace with international environmental standards, and strengthening national expertise and capabilities in the fields of carbon management and sustainability.
